On vient d’annoncer les dates pour la tournée "Lost in Scotland/Clichés Ecossés" qui aura lieu en avril, mai et juin cette année, et pour vous donner un avant-goût de ce qui vous attend, vous trouverez désormais sur ce site un teaser pour "Lost in Scotland".
After the great success of the Weekend Ecossais in Couternon (near Dijon), Joanne, Théodora and Isabelle have been hard at work organising dates and venues for Theatraverse’s "Lost in Scotland" spring and summer tour in France and Scotland, accompanied by the Clichés Ecossés exhibition and author Isabelle Gilbert. Below are the confirmed dates, plus indications of dates that are still to be announced.
Depuis le Weekend Ecossais très réussi à Couternon (près de Dijon), Joanne, Théodora et Isabelle ne cessent pas de travailler sur la tournée de "Lost in Scotland"/l’exposition "Clichés Ecossés" - printemps et été 2010, qui aura lieu en France et en Ecosse. Vous trouverez ci-dessous les dates et lieux confirmés avec détails des représentations, ainsi que d’autres dates à confirmer.

After a highly successful avant-premiere in La Grave, the Theatraverse troupe arrived on 6th November, 2009, in Couternon (near Dijon), to take part in a "Scottish Weekend". The event had been organised by Isabelle Gilbert and Théodora Olivi, the writer and photographer respectively of the book Clichés écossés , on which the play Lost in Scotland is based. Théo and Isabelle had also prepared an exhibition to accompany the release of their book, whilst the troupe put on three performances of Lost in Scotland. Joanne also held a bilingual theatre workshop on the Saturday.
In the new multi-purpose hall in Couternon, the actors got ready for the premiere whilst a team organized by Théo and Isabelle set up the exhibition. After a quick run through of the play, during which the “official photographer” for Theatraverse, Jean Wlodarski, took his own photos, the visitors for the exhibition began to arrive. The town-mayor, accompanied by a number of official guests, gave a speech before handing over to the actors who took to the stage for the show. A great success, the piece was roundly applauded by all present, an occurrence that was repeated twice over during the course of the weekend.

Après une avant-première très bien reçue à La Grave, la troupe de Theatraverse s’est rendue à Couternon (près de Dijon) le 6 novembre, 2009, pour participer à un « Weekend Ecossais ». L’événement a été organisé par Isabelle Gilbert et Théodora Olivi, l’écrivain et la photographe du livre Clichés écossés , dont est inspirée la pièce Lost in Scotland . Théo et Isabelle a monté une exposition qui accompagnait la sortie de leur livre, tandis que la troupe donnait les représentations de Lost in Scotland . Joanne a donné également un atelier bilingue de théâtre.
Dans la nouvelle salle polyvalente de Couternon, la troupe s’est préparée pour la première en même temps qu’une équipe organisée par Théo et Isabelle installait l’exposition. Après une répétition générale, pendant laquelle le « photographe officiel » de Theatraverse, Jean Wlodarski, a pris ses propres photos, les visiteurs de l’exposition ont commencé à pénétrer dans la salle. Le maire de la ville, accompagné par des invités officiels, a prononcé un discours avant de laisser la parole aux comédiens, qui sont montés sur scène pour jouer le spectacle. Une belle réussite, la pièce a été acclamée par tous et par toutes, un succès qui s’est répété deux fois au cours du weekend.

’Lost in Scotland’ is ready ! Theatraverse are proud to present a sneak preview of the fruits of their labour for the first time in La Grave on the 31st October at 8pm. The following weekend, the 6th, 7th and 8th of November, will see the premieres of the show in Couternon, near Dijon. These performances are part of the ’Weekend Ecossais’, celebrating the launch of Isabelle Gilbert’s book ’Cliches Ecosses’ and of course, Theatraverse’s premiere of ’Lost in Scotland’. ’Lost In Scotland’ est pret ! Theatraverse est fier de jouer une avant-premiere du spectacle a La Grave, lieu de repetition, le 31 Octobre a 20h. Le weekend suivant nous jouons les premieres a Couternon, pres de Dijon - les 6,7 et 8 novembre. Ces representations sont dans le cadre du ’Weekend Ecossais’, un grand evenement celebrant la sortie du livre ’Cliches Ecosses’ d’Isabelle Gilbert ainsi que la premiere de ’Lost in Scotland’. The Theatraverse troupe has just returned from a very successful trip to Scotland, during which time they rehearsed at the Institut Français in Edinburgh, danced the night away at the Edinburgh Book Festival ceilidh and toured Aberdeenshire and Loch Ness. A great deal of research was completed, and the team even got a taste of the dreich Scottish weather and downpours of near-biblical proportions.
La troupe vient de rentrer d’une semaine de répétitions et de recherche passée en Ecosse, où ils étaient très bien accueillis par l’Institut Français à Edimbourg. La troupe a visité la région de Aberdeenshire, dans les Highlands, et Loch Ness, où le monstre célèbre se trouverait. En plus, ils se sont bien amusés au ceilidh, encore une fois à Edimbourg, et ont été trempés jusqu’aux os dans la pluie écossaise.
