An epidemic has struck. "Rhinoceritis" has afflicted the inhabitants of an entire town, gradually transforming them all into rhinoceroses. All except one, that is, for Bérenger remains untouched. Is he a hero or an anti-hero? Is his resistance conscious? Rhinoceros, a tragic farce, is an existential reflection on conformism, on the herd instinct, and on communication in a world devoid of reason...
